Welcome to Powell River Fishing. This website provides information about opportunities, techniques, and resources for fishing in the Powell River and Upper Sunshine Coast area.
There will be an informal meeting open to anyone interested on Tuesday July 12 at 7:00pm at the Fisheries and Oceans office on Duncan and Manson. Information provided at a recent Sport Fish Advisory Board meeting will be presented at this meeting. Check the Powell River Fishing Message Board for more information.
The Powell River Salmon Society's booth at this year's Powell River Home Show May 13, 14 & 15, was a conplete success. The live Salmon that were on display, which included Chinook and Coho smolt, attacted alot of attention. More than 30 memberships were purchased, which brings the current membership to over 150. Raffle tickets for an electric downrigger were on sale and many people stopped to purchased a ticket, as well as other merchandise that was available. Many thanks to everyone who supported the Society at the Home Show.
